Bad Old Habits

I just got back from an outing with a bunch of old secondary schoolmates. Basically in our school if a bunch of malay guys were up to no good, these are the guys responsible. With my self-esteem issues back then, I was just struggling to keep up.

For a few years after JC, we would have a reunion during Ramadhan, using the pretext of breaking fast to meet up. After that we'll hang out till really late. I remember one time, we broke fast at Lau Pa Sat, stayed there till ten plus, till everyone arrived. After which we headed to a LAN center and played Counter-Strike till two in the morning. Then we headed out for tea and prata. I got back at 3 plus that night. My parents were furious.

One of them was back from Australia this upcoming Raya and so we had our excuse for another "reunion". Everyone was a little older and more subdued. This time round though we just had whacked the food at newton till nine plus and headed down to Orchard. We had coffee at this place outside Orange Julius and California Fitness; The Coffee Connection I think it's called. They have the best, THE BEST AND BIGGEST mudpie I've tasted in a long while, made up ice-cream, chocolate cake, instant coffee powder and a little bit of heaven.

I have never ever laughed that hard for a long long time, Maybe close to a year ago. Anyway they had me in stitches and for a good stretch of 5 minutes, I couldn't bring myself to speak. We were hilarious, crude and pathetic all at the same time. I reached home at one plus this time round. My parents are going to be so livid!!! Well, once they wake up..
