I've just watched three movies in three days. I don't think I've done something like this in a while. Quite Fun.
The Bourne Ultimatum

This is a GUY movie. Not the dirty, "American Pie" type of course but rather the gritty fast-paced movie with lot's of action and protaganists that mumble their lines. However I'm a big fan of the Bourne movies and books so I'm giving it more 4 stars out of 5.
Fanatics might argue with me and say that the books are way better. They detail the psychological breakdown of a soldier who suffers from a split personality due to a traumatic event in his past turning a mild college professor into a stone cold killer. Some might say that the books chronicles the mental duels that between Bourne and Webb as each fights to reconcile his sanity. The movie on the other hand is about really cool action, exotic locations, lots of car crashes and a plot which is about fours steps above mediocre and two steps below brilliant.
Unless you got motion-sickness from the previous movie, I highly recommend this movie anyway cos it's slightly more straight forward.
Rush Hour 3

This one is funny. Lot's of racial stereotypes jokes and and the typical stuff you find in the previous Rush Hour movies. Jackie however seems a little tired. There's nothing much to say about it here. If you've got nothing better to do for the weekend I guess this movie will do fine. 3 stars out 5.
The Good Shepherd

Okay this one I watched on VCD. So if too lazy to go out and wanna rent this one can. But (disclaimer in progress). BUT. This movie is not for everyone. The following objectives apply for this movie. INTELLIGENT. DRAMA. very DRAMA. and very INTELLIGENT (read: boring for most people). The plot zig zags bewteen 1961 and flashbacks in the 1940s. It's about Edward Wilson and the inception of the CIA. The trials and tribulations he faces as a n intelligence analyst.
There is no action here. The drama is personal. Not political. Yet I'm oddly drawn to this movie about a taciturn man who has spends his whole life dealing with secrets. The movie is more than that but I can't quite capture the whole essence of it in this review. As I said, it's a little too intelligent for me. However the movie moves me (well a just little bit) and for that it gets 4 stars out 5.
