Dark Rich Frozen Landscape

I think I've almost figured out the zoom function on my camera. Almost. I don't know why but these shots remind me of the dunes of Arrakis.

Island Creamery: First Taste

WooHoo! I had ice-cream! AGAIN!

An uncharacteristic bright flash of inspiration from The Temp (kidding!) made us divert to Serene Center for lunch just for Island Creamery. By the time we were done with lunch it was too late to enjoy the Ice Cream down there, we had to "tar-pau" a cup each back to the office.

I got to enjoy my "Soursop Sorbet" on the drive back. Those Sorbet thingies melt really fast so I cannot "hegeh-hegeh". Luckily I had someone else to do the driving. WONDERFUL! Not super sweet like those soursop drinks by "Yeo's". In fact it was hardly sweet at all, which is why I prefer sorbets.

But today, The Temp's intuition seemed super-on-the-spot today. Her durian flavoured ice-cream totally blew me away. The intense natural durian flavour came bursting out of my only one spoonful taste test. It's the bitter-sweet taste of real durians which made it SPECTACULAR!

At $2.50 for a single scoop I'm definitely coming back.

Swensens: New Menu

WooHoo! I had ice-cream! I had ice-cream!

I never realized how long it's been since I've been to Swensen's. Thay have a new menu now; lot's of new salads and pastas. And I saw at least 2 NEW ice-cream flavours! One is Banana Split: A mix of mostly strawberry ice cream with a big rush of banana flavouring! For the life of me I can't remember the other one! I think it's either hazelnut, or macadamia. Not quite as strong as the manana shplit flavour of course but still quite an experience.

I didn't realise how long it's been since I've been on this ice-cream fast but now my cough is almost gone so those frosty dairies better watch out!!!
