I've been wanting to post about this for a week now. Last week I watched the "The KIngdom" a Peter Burg movie with about a terrorist attack on US citizens on Saudi soil. The film was of course good, way better than "Syriana" which was a tad too convoluted for the common man.
But what I wanted to talk about was the the opening credits. The the production team managed to squeeze the whole backdrop of the movie in a spectacular, engaging manner in 4 minutes. I've seen corporate multimedia that was half as short buttwice as draggy. This was succinct, extremely informative and invoked a subtle emotional response from the audience but more importantly managed to put the setting for the movie in a very short duration. There was even a nice timeline thingie which I'm dying to put in one of my powerpoint presentations. Very good and sharp use of old footage and graphics. The narrator conveyed very well what was usually written on screen like the starting of most Star Wars movies.
Anyone doing corporate multimedia presentations please take note. This is the way you do it.
