I was so gung-ho about writing this review on "Death at a Funeral" a hilarious British Comedy (Well British Comedies usually are cos of all that intelligent wit and stuff and makes me feel "haha, I got that joke and you guys didn't...cos I'm smart.. and obnoxious..." ) but there's been something that's been rolling around in my head since this morning and I've got to let it out.
I can't seem to forget that scene in "Juno" where she talks to her dear old dad about couples being happy, well here's a sneak peek:
Juno MacGuff: Dad, it's not about that. I just need to know if it's possible for two people to stay happy together forever, or at least for a few years.
Mac MacGuff: It's not easy, that's for sure. Now, I may not have the best track record in the world, but I have been with your stepmother for 10 years now and I'm proud to say that we're very happy.
[Juno nods]Mac MacGuff: In my opinion, the best thing you can do is find a person who loves you for exactly what you are. Good mood, bad mood, ugly, pretty, handsome, what have you, the right person will still think the sun shines out your ass. That's the kind of person that's worth sticking with...
I sincerely believe everyone equally deserves to be happy. You deserve to be happy as much as I do. So if we find that someone that makes us happy and thinks "the sun shines out your ass", move your ass quick and grab them, they're usually not so easy to find. I'm not saying it's easy, it'll take lots of work and lots of communication, but it's usually worth it.
Well, that's if you wanna take the advice of a fickle-minded, obnoxious, smart-ass, 30-year-old virgin of course.
