From East Coast to Changi Coast

I've had an exhilarating bike ride this morning. There's just something about doing stuff in the rain that's indescribably energizing. Anyway, it started raining when I left the bike shop in East Coast but it slowed down before I got very far. Then as I reached the end, lo and behold! The extended trail was ready! I didn't know where it ended so I thought wtf let's just try. It so happens it's a park connector to Changi Beach Park! Wow. From the end of East Coast to the end of Changi is about 10km I estimate from the markings. I saw many, many things. But I didn't want to get off to take pictures so I thought "let's experience this thing one time". I saw:

1. A great view of the mouth of a huge longkang which leads to the sea.
2. A photo-modelling session of 2 Chinese ladies in the bushes (Don't Ask)
3. SAF Ferry Terminal
4. An accident in which a car overturned and crashed into a tree along Changi Coast Road
5. An airplane landing in the rain
6. Some kind of Chinese medium ceremony at the end of the beach complete with the Lion Dance musicians

Okay that's all I could remember at the moment. By the time I got to Changi Beach it was dark and about to rain so the wooded stretch reminded of some European forest in some werewolf movie. See I got to the end:

I couldn't take that many photos it started to pour. REALLY really pour. and since all shelters were full of campers I rode in the super heavy downpour 3.3 km all the way down to the other end of the beach before I decided to take shelter. And I tell you that 5 minute pedal was one hell of an experience, rain lashing your face as you strain to see the road. Unforgettable.

I decided to go all the way back to the other end of East Coast just for heck of it. As I reached the other end it started to pour again. I finished it, turned around and headed for the nearest shelter. SIONG MAN!!! I know some cyclist do it every week but MAN! I was about to pass then when I decided to take this:

I'm not sure if I can do this every week.
