Okay, I caught the teaser trailer to J.J. Abrams new monster movie. I believe the whole movie is going to be in the digital vidcam format ala "Blair Witch" but with special effects. I'm not a fan of movies screened this way cos though it may be realistic, it destroys the beauty of the scenes. I've yet to see the technique put to good use especially on the big screen.
HOWEVER, this is JJ, one my favourite directors he really knows how to pull you in and leave you wanting for more so I'm gonna cut him some slack. It's not a must see for me but let's all watch out for it and see how the promotion develops.
